Project description:
United Hatzalah is an Israeli volunteer-based emergency medical services organization that offers free medical assistance throughout Israel, with its headquarters located in Jerusalem. Its mission is to deliver immediate medical intervention during the critical period between the onset of an emergency and the arrival of traditional ambulance services.
Established in 2006 through the merger of several smaller local Hatzalah groups, United Hatzalah has grown to become the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer EMS organization in the world. It boasts over 6,500 volunteer medical first responders across the country, along with additional chapters in Panama, the United States, and Ukraine. The organization provides its services at no cost to all individuals, regardless of race, religion, or national origin.
The grant has been utilized to supply the organization with essential medical equipment and vehicles, enabling them to offer free medical treatment to the entire Israeli population around the clock.
