In 2006, Mr. Rappoport became one of the founding sponsors of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, to which he donated significant personal funds as part of his philanthropic initiatives. The business school was originally created as a 100% non-state charitable institution aimed at providing opportunities for business education by Western standards. The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO remains a fully privately financed institution of business education. It has never had and has no connection whatsoever with the Skolkovo Innovation Center and/or the Skolkovo Foundation.

The school had an International Board of Trustees, which at different times included the heads of major international corporations (including Mastercard, International Paper, Unilever and others), as well as prominent international figures, such as Lee Kuan Yew.

From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Rappoport served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the School’s Coordinating Council, and later as one of its Board members. In early March 2022, he resigned from the SKOLKOVO Board of Directors. The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO offers a diverse range of education programs designed for businesses at every stage of development, from startups to established corporations entering international markets. According to the Financial Times 2020 Executive Education rankings, SKOLKOVO Business School was ranked as the top business school in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Additionally, the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO serves as a hub of international business expertise. The business school hosts various institutes and research centers that address contemporary challenges across different economic sectors, provide consulting services, develop educational programs, and help shape the school’s intellectual agenda.
