Chabad Lubavitch Ticino is a Jewish community center in Lugano serving both the local Jewish community and the broader Ticino region — its social work is officially recognized by the Canton of Ticino. Everything it does flows from Jewish values of compassion, hospitality and mutual responsibility.

In practice, this means: kosher meals for those in need, weekly food parcels, Shabbat and holiday meals open to all. The organization visits older people and hospital patients, runs prison chaplaincy, and offers personal counselling and coaching. It also supports international visitors and newcomers, playing an active role in refugee integration.

Culture and education matter just as much. Chabad Lubavitch Ticino hosts lectures, classes and book discussions, and offers guided synagogue tours — keeping Jewish life in the region visible and alive.

The FAIR Charitable Foundation supports the ongoing work of Chabad Lubavitch Ticino, helping sustain essential services for vulnerable individuals and for the broader Jewish and civil community of Lugano.
